Your land.
A shared opportunity.
Castorgate is developing a castor outgrower programme in Ghana, connecting participating farmers with our processing business through seed provision and bean purchases at a pre-agreed price.
Grow castor.
Supply Castorgate.
Alongside our own 10,000 acres of land in Ghana, we plan to build a wider network of independent castor growers.
Under the proposed model, Castorgate provides seeds, farmers cultivate and harvest the crop, and Castorgate buys the harvested beans at a price agreed in advance under the grower agreement. We then press and refine the oil ourselves.
We welcome expressions of interest from individual farmers, farming groups and cooperatives in Ghana that would like to discuss participation.
From agreement to harvest.
Discuss
Tell us about your location, land and farming experience so we can assess potential participation.
Agree
Confirm the seed arrangements, purchase price, bean requirements and commercial terms in writing.
Grow
Castorgate provides the agreed seeds. Participating farmers cultivate the crop on their land.
Harvest
Farmers harvest and prepare the beans to the requirements set out in the agreement.
Supply
Castorgate purchases qualifying beans at the pre-agreed price and processes them into castor oil.
Clear terms.
A practical partnership.
Our team will discuss land suitability, seed provision, cultivation and harvesting requirements, bean quality, delivery arrangements and payment terms before a grower joins.
The programme is planned and is currently gathering expressions of interest. Registration is not acceptance into the programme or a purchase contract. Participation, seed availability, prices, quantities and payment arrangements are subject to assessment and a written agreement. No acreage minimum, yield, income or start date is promised on this page.
